Exciting times, indeed! I can relate so much with what you are doing, having gone indie myself last year, publishing my debut novel When Things Go Missing in September 2025. Now I’m working on publishing my second novel in June, while still promoting my first novel (radio interview, library author talk, offering a giveaway on Library Things, etc) And trying to write the second novel of the trilogy that starts with This Sea Within. So totally get what you’re going through. Still, it is exciting, and will be fun to trade stories about what we are doing. Glad I “met” you!

There is such a lot of background work to do, isn’t there? I’m a retired accountant so I analysed costs from day one. It’s good that you have your sister to help with that. I’m still totally confused about getting reviews. So many horror stories about losing your Amazon account if you put a foot wrong. Luckily I have a famous journalist friend who will do the endorsement for me and friends who work in TV and radio (that was my client base when I was working) so I’m hoping for some publicity.
